Dr. Eric Valladares is a Board Certified General Surgeon.
He received his undergraduate training at the University of Miami, majoring in Biology and Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry and Foreign Languages. He attended Howard College of Medicine in Washington DC and completed his general surgery residency at Howard University Hospital.
After his residency, Dr. Valladares worked as a private practice surgeon gaining experience in a broad spectrum of patient care.
In 2004 he decided to obtain additional training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Bariatric Surgery in a private practice fellowship. Dr. Valladares performs advanced laparoscopic, endoscopic and robotic surgery in Miami and has performed over 1,000 laparoscopic procedures.
He is an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. He is the Director of Bariatric Surgery at Larkin Community Hospital.
Dr. Valladares was raised in Miami and South Florida. He is now living his dream of helping those in his community live happier and healthy lives through surgical weight loss. Dr. Valladares is known for his caring and down-to-earth nature that helps patients achieve long-term success. He is fluent in both Spanish and English.
Richard D. Nadal, MD
Dr. Richard D. Nadal completed his undergraduate studies at Tulane University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
He then went on to receive his Medical Degree from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine. After a full 5-year General Surgery Residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville and Georgetown University in Washington, DC., he was certified by the American Board of Surgery.
Following General Surgery, Dr. Nadal completed two and a half years of Plastic Surgery training at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, which included a six-month residency in Head and Neck Surgery at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
He then proceeded with an additional six-month Fellowship in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital affiliated with New York University.
After a total of eight years of surgical training with some of the best in the field, Dr. Nadal was then also certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) in 1989.
